growing through change
What happens when the life you dreamed of, prayed for, and even cried over—becomes your reality?
Bliss. Gratitude. Deep appreciation.
All of those feelings and more, I’m sure. There’s nothing quite like the moment when you realize you’re living in what you once only imagined. Seeing your vision unfold before your eyes is a kind of sweetness that nothing else on earth can quite compare to.
But what happens when the beauty of that new reality also brings with it new responsibilities? What happens when the version of you that wanted this life isn’t quite the version of you that can sustain it? I believe that before we can truly receive a blessing, we’re expanded in some way—tested, refined, stretched—so that we can hold what we asked for. But what happens after the blessing arrives? What happens when the new life you stepped into demands more from you?
More discipline.
More self-awareness.
More intentionality.
This new reality might require you to say no to things you once said yes to. It may call you to restructure your priorities, let go of old habits, or step into a level of responsibility you never had before. It might even push you to become a version of yourself you’re not fully acquainted with yet. And that can feel overwhelming.
I know life situations are here to challenge us to evolve—whether we view them as blessings or burdens. Change always requires growth. Lately, I’ve been feeling the weight of these demands—not in a negative way, but in a sharpening way. I’m being called to a new level of discipline, to show up differently, to move with more focus and intention. And honestly? I believe life trains us for excellence. Every challenge, every shift, every new season is an invitation to step deeper into our fullest capacity.
It reminds me of the movie Lucy—how she was on a journey of unlocking her full potential, stepping into levels of awareness and power she never thought possible.
This is you.
This is me.
We are constantly unlocking new levels of ourselves—through our passions, our creations, our careers, our relationships, our growth. We’re not just going through life; we are growing through it. Every challenge, every moment of discomfort, every sacrifice—it’s all refining us. And while it may feel overwhelming, there’s grace in discomfort when we shift our perspective.
Instead of seeing the pressure as a burden, see it as preparation.
Instead of seeing the discipline as restrictive, see it as liberating.
Instead of resisting the growth, lean into it—because on the other side of it is a version of you that is fully capable of holding the life you once only dreamed of.
If this resonates with you, I invite you to sit with these questions and do some soul writing. Take a deep breath, grab your journal, and answer these questions:
What am I learning right now?
How has my current life situation grown me?
Am I being refined? If so, in what ways?
What change in my life is requiring me to grow?
Your answers may surprise you. Give yourself the space to reflect, to process, and to step fully into the version of you that your dream life requires.
Let me know in the comments—how are you growing through the changes in your life right now?
